PACKING/JOURNEY TIPS

Here are some tips on how to make your trip in a motor home easy and how to make the most of all the extra equipment and clothes you have taken along.

Pack all outdoor clothes in bags. Have one bag for rainwear and another for shoes, etc. Pack things in many different bags as this will simplify both the loading and unloading of the vehicle. Also, you will easily find clothes that you may need during the journey. Remember to have a bag for laundry, too.

Only store clothes in the vehicle's cupboards that you intend to use daily. Don't take more than you need. Rather buy a new pullover than have to search through all of your clothes that, in the end, will only get in the way.

The NAF book and map are great to take along with you if you have not already planned your trip in detail. The NAF book will provide you with a list of camping grounds and restaurants. It's also more fun to use than GPS.

If you have children, a PC and some films will salvage parts of those rainy days and long trips. (Remember converter 12V - 220 V.)
Also, take some sheets to place on seats and benches. Then you need not be worried if the children get any marks on the covers.

Do not use shoes inside the vehicle. Use shoes that are easy to slip on and off, e.g. sandals or slippers. You will then avoid a lot of cleaning and you will always have a clean and dry vehicle.

You should wash the vehicle daily and also brush the floor. Also wash the toilet. This will make the final clean of the vehicle much easier when you return home.
